How long can a tower crane last? According to the announcement of the Ministry of construction on Issuing the "11th Five Year Plan" of the construction industry to promote the application and restrict the use of Technology (the first batch) (No. 659), the service life of tower crane for construction (Tower & nbspcrane) is as follows:

I. The following three types of tower cranes shall not be used until they have passed the evaluation by a qualified evaluation agency:
1. Tower cranes below 630kn. M (excluding 630kn. M) and with a factory life of more than 10 years (excluding 10 years).
2. 630-1250kn. M (excluding 1250kn. M) tower crane with factory life of more than 15 years (excluding 15 years).
3. Tower cranes with a factory life of more than 20 years (excluding 20 years) above 1250 kn. M.
II. If the service life specified in the operating instructions of the tower crane is less than the above-mentioned provisions, the service life specified in the operating instructions shall be followed.

III. except for the whole machine, the scrapping regulations of main bearing structural parts of tower crane shall be implemented in accordance with Article 4.7 "scrapping and service life of structural parts" of safety regulations for tower crane (gb5144-2006).
